THE STORY

Rob's Reel Sets was founded in 1989 in Salt Lake City, Utah, by Robert Bennett who began his career shortly after college in the movie industry.  Rob's career in the movie industry allowed him to utilize his creativity and exploit his amazing ability to improvise and make anything that was needed in this demanding field including movie sets, miniatures, set design, decorating and dressing, lighting, and backdrops.

 

As can be imagined the movie industry can be very demanding with stringent deadlines and around the clock work hours.  In 2001, Rob decided to change his company's focus and moved he and his family to Apex, North Carolina where he began working with local contractors, custom home builders and designers. He currently specializes in custom built-ins, home theater units and bookcases while still catering to custom requests for local businesses. Our versatility can be seen in in our portfolio, and as for the name... it's a novelty.
